What we're building
BackMe is a personal-safety mobile app.The idea is simple: before you do something where a small extra net would be welcome — a late walk, a solo trip, a night shift — you start a countdown and pick who should be notified if you don't cancel it. That's it.
Our mission
Most safety tools assume something has already gone wrong. We start earlier: we make it easy and natural to set up a safety net in everyday life, so when something goes off-plan, the right people already know to check in.
How we think about reliability
- Predictable defaults. The timer either runs out or you cancel it. No surprises.
- Individual emails. Each contact is messaged separately, so they never see one another.
- Optional location. We only include GPS when you opted in for that timer.
How we think about privacy
We don't sell your data. Emails are sent to people you explicitly chose, only when the timer expires. See the Privacy Policy for details.
